We are a family business – whether it's the founding Hartmann family, who have been committed to our high-quality service since the Kirchberg location was established in 2001, or the Nietfeld family, who founded ROSENGARTEN-Tierbestattung in Germany in 2002 and have been running it successfully ever since. In 2022, the ROSENGARTEN location in Küssnacht am Rigi followed. This family partnership shapes the ROSENGARTEN landscape in Switzerland. Together with our dedicated employees, we are proud to be there for you as a family with a great deal of passion and compassion.
Hartmann family
Dogs, cats and horses have accompanied the Hartmann family since time immemorial and all family members know the crippling pain that arises when a beloved pet is lost. These formative experiences gave rise to the desire to enable other pet owners to bid a dignified farewell to their beloved companion. This wish was fulfilled in 2001 with the opening of the Kirchberg Pet Crematorium in the Canton of Bern. The Hartmann family and their staff have been assisting pet owners for more than 25 years.
Family Nietfeld
Growing up on a farm with three children, dog and cat were always part of the family. After a wonderful time together, a farewell followed at some point. In the family's own garden, each pet was buried with dignity. The importance of mourning prompted reflection and the idea for a pet crematorium was born. In 2002, ROSENGARTEN-Tierbestattung was founded and the first pet crematorium was built in Badbergen. Today, ROSENGARTEN and its committed staff stand for the highest standards in the cremation of pets in Germany.

News and important information
We regularly inform you about news from the world of ROSENGARTEN animal cremation. In this section you can find out about upcoming events, short-term announcements or general information about animal cremation.
Time is a precious commodity, especially shared moments with beloved family members. Pets are just as much members of the family. With this awareness, we have been creating lasting memories in the form of a dignified pet cremation in Germany since 2002 and in Poland since 2021. Every pet deserves a dignified farewell and every person in this situation, honest sympathy as well as important time for their grief. Since November 2022, we have also been offering our service in Switzerland. We promise you sincere empathy, holistic responsibility and honest love for pets at all times at all our locations.
Children's book
We all grieve when we have to let our beloved pets go. But it can be particularly difficult for children to process their feelings of grief. The death of a family pet is often a child's first experience of grief. Deep feelings, pain, confusion, anger or despair can shake a child's heart.
To give them some support – possibly even before their beloved pet dies – we have created a children's book that addresses precisely this topic of the death of a beloved pet and explains it in language that children can understand.
We are happy to give the booklet to families with children who bring their deceased family member to us. In this way, we want to offer support in the grieving process for the whole family.
